What is Career Readiness?

Career readiness is the process of preparing students of any age with the essential skills they need to find, acquire, maintain, and grow within a job.

Our College and Career Readiness Programs offer support in eliminating the gap between education and industry by connecting students with career fairs, mock interviews/resume-building events, industry-based guest speakers, work-based learning opportunities, and more through the CTE Future You Career Learning Program

Career awareness and exploration allow students to explore and assess their academic and workplace skills. This is important as they explore their aptitudes and interests, and plan for the future.

These Career Journeys video series highlight the career journeys of "near-peer" young Oregonians from all around the state. These series were created by ODE, UO, and the HECC.
