AP Exams Registration & Information at PPS
Advanced Placement Exams are ordered and administered by the district. Any student that wishes to take an AP Exam must BOTH: register in the "Exam Only" section and pay (financial aid is available) for each exam they want to take by deadlines listed below:
Year long or first semester only classes and self study: November 1. Late Registration which includes a $40 Late Fee February 1 to March 1.
2nd Semester only classes: March 1.
Students who are in an "AP" labeled class will receive directions and guidance from their teachers at the start of each registration period. Detailed Directions Here
Students not in an "AP" class who want to take the exam should contact their school testing coordinator or follow the directions linked above.
Exam Details
Portland Public Schools will hold AP exams at the Marshal Campus in Portland, Oregon from May 4-8 and May 11-15, 2026.

AP Exam Registration, Payment, and Test Cancellations:
- Exam registrations for May 2026 are currently closed.
- The registration period will run October 1 to November 1.
- Late registration period will be open in February 2026.
- If you are a PPS student and want to cancel your exam, please email advancedplacement@pps.net. Also, please review the PPS Cancellation Policy here.
- If you are currently signed up for exams and need to move your test to the late testing period, please email advancedplacement@pps.net.

- For the 2026 AP Exams, we will not register or administer exams to non-PPS students.
