The Leap into 9th Grade summer program prepares incoming ninth grade students to excel in high school by building a foundation for success before starting high school. 

Program Dates & Times:

Jefferson: June 29 - July 17, Monday - Friday, 8:40 am - 12:00 pm

Franklin, McDaniel, Roosevelt: July 13 - 31, Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

What is the Leap into 9th Grade curriculum?

• Students prepare to succeed in high school with a focus on social awareness, self-management, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, and time management.
• Students practice academic success skills, such as preparing to take notes, reading with a purpose, and goal-setting.
• Students discover their interests and learn about different opportunities available to them during high school and after high school.
• Students participate in hands-on activities related to career and technical education (CTE) programs, and practice career and financial planning.
• Students apply all of their learning to complete their Green City Project with teammates and present it to the class.
